Power and Associates recently conducted a windows and patio doors satisfaction study and found that customers tend to be less influenced by price when purchasing windows or patio doors than by brand names that have high customer satisfaction with Simonton brand ranking the highest in customer satisfaction.
J.D. Power and Associates has been measuring customers’ satisfaction of windows and patio doors for six years. The 2012 windows and patio doors satisfaction study was conducted from January to February, gathering responses from more than 2,500 participants who have made windows or patio doors purchases within the last 12 months. Participants were to rate their purchases on the following 6 categories:
- Ordering and delivery
- Functionality and durability
- Price and services
- Appearance, design and features
- Warranty
- Repair and/or replacement
From the study, they concluded that customers who purchase windows or patio doors from brands with high customer satisfaction based their purchasing decisions on recommendation, quality and past purchasing experience. Whereas, customers who purchase windows or patio doors from brands with low level of customer satisfaction were based solely on price. Simonton’s windows and patio doors were found to have the highest customer satisfaction with as score of 831 (a score of 795 or above equates high customer satisfaction), performing well in 5 out of the 6 categories.
